This image is required to hold empty table cells in place and to keep the table from collapsing. Do not remove the image or your template layout will be distorted.

This image is transparent and its actualy size is 1x1 pixel. It weighs hardly anything so it will not weigh your page down regardless of how large it was stretched to hold the table cell open.
